Heather McGirr graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy in 1998 from Dalhousie University. Previous to this she received her BSc in Biology from Acadia University in 1995. She started her business, Health at Home Physiotherapy because of her experience in the home care sector and her enjoyment working with people in the community.
Heather has eleven years of experience working as a physiotherapist in a variety of settings including private practice, Long Term Care facilities, hospitals, military bases and home care. She has a particular affinity for Senior’s Health concerns and a solid interest in Preventative Health.
Heather’s post graduate courses are well rounded and centre around assessment and management of orthopaedic and neurological conditions. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists.
Heather resides in Beaver Bank with her husband, Steve and their two young children, Sarah and Jack.
